The Nintendo DS is among the most popular handheld consoles of all time. Its iconic worth is right up there with this of their Game Boy along with the PSP. There have been some amazing games for the system and sometimes it’s a lot easier to keep those games in your phone than to take around a second device to play with them. Regrettably, growth of the Nintendo DS emulator system is still is a tiny niche so that there aren’t a ton of options to choose from. But we did find some that functioned so below are the best Nintendo DS emulators for the Android!

We would also love to give an honorable mention to nds4droid. It is really old and has not got an update in a little while, but it may work well if you have an older device.

DraStic DS Emulator is most likely the top of the Nintendo DS emulators at the moment. During our testing, it played pretty much every game we threw in it. There are probably only a handful of games that don’t do the job correctly. The emulator includes a multitude of features, such as screen design customization, controller personalization, support for hardware controls, fast forward, Google Drive service, and higher end devices may enjoy some enhanced graphics rendering should they so choose. That’s less expensive than it used to be. It’s a fantastic bargain. This is the one we would recommend first with a long shot. The remaining emulators on this list are only in case this one doesn’t function for a reason.

EmuBox

Price: Free

EmuBox is a newer emulator with a bunch of systems that are compatible. That includes PlayStation, SNES, and yes, Nintendo DS. This is one of the few emulators using Material Design. That makes it good looking. Luckily, it also works okay. We did not have some serious problems playing the games we’ve examined. Some have lamented some bugs with the emulator when using a lot of cheat codes, but otherwise the Google Play testimonials are also mostly positive. It is a totally free emulator with advertising. We hope a pro version without advertisements comes eventually.

NDS Emulator

Cost: Free

NDS Emulator is just one of those more recent Nintendo DS emulators. It’s all of the fundamental features such as external controller support, save nations, load states, and customizable on-screen sport pads. It played all the games we attempted during testing too. It is far from ideal and there are bugs. Nonetheless, this is among the better free Nintendo DS emulators available. There are ads and they’re quite annoying. We would have liked a means to pay to remove them. It is not the one we would recommend initially, but it is certainly in the top five.

RetroArch

Price: Free

RetroArch is a all-in-one emulator. It supports an assortment of game systems. That includes the Nintendo DS, Game Boy, SNES, Game Boy Advance, and Tons of non-Nintendo systems. You have to download and install each system separately inside the program. That usually means you will need to obtain this, receive the Nintendo DS center, then you can play games. It supports all of the fundamental features. It is not the simplest to use. However, it’s totally free without a in-app purchases or advertisements. It is also in active development right now.

SuperNDS

Cost: Free

SuperNDS is the newest Nintendo DS emulator on the listing. It supports NDS, ZIP, 7z, and RAR file types also contains the majority of the stuff you’d expect in an emulator such as save states and other similar things. It is a fairly basic emulator without a slew of attributes and it may take some digging into the configurations to get it working right. It will crash more often than we’d love to see, but it is newer than most so here’s hoping future upgrades fix this.
